Federico “Fede” Lezano is a powerful front row technician originally from Argentina but now based in Canterbury, New Zealand. 6ft and 128kg, Fede is a strong scrumager and a powerful force at the ruck. Mobile for a man of his size, Fede has a Sevens background and is a confident and eager ball-running Prop who is comfortable at both tight & loose head.
Shirley RFC, following a number of years of little success, brought in a number of recruits, including Fede, for their Centenary season and the impact was immediate, winning 3 of their first 4 games but utlimately dropping off a little and finishing one win out of finals places. Fede’s hard-hitting defence and rock-solid scrumaging ensured he played his part in the team’s improvement.
Seeking his first season of rugby in the UK in 2019-20, Fede will be a good pick up for a club seeking front row reinforcement for this season and the big unit will no doubt be able to adjust to the UK conditions having spent the last couple of seasons playing in New Zealand.
